eCLOSE Institute programs are designed to bring the lab to the learners! Programs are offered in-person in our Teaching Laboratory in Philadelphia or using a lab@home concept where we send the lab equipment and supplies to you, wherever you are. Virtual participants learn via synchronous instruction over Zoom, collaborating with new scientists from across the country to solve the health problems that matter the most. Join us today!

eCLOSE programs focus on the signaling pathways that cause disease. Our goal is to map dietary interventions that normalize disease signaling, improving treatments and preventing illness. We use fruit flies bearing mutations in genes that are known to cause disease in humans, providing a safe-at-home, rapid research model for discovery in just a few short days.
